Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Programmer - Prototype Machinist to join our dynamic team in Hanover Park, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality prototypes and production runs. Responsibilities
- Program CNC mills (3-4 axis VMC) and lathes (2-4 axis) to produce precision parts.
- Set up machines for production runs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Utilize GD&T to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Write and modify G-Code and M-Code as necessary for various machining operations.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and reduce lead times.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer and Machinist.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T principles.
- Proficiency in G-Code and M-Code programming.
- Experience with CNC mills (3-4 axis VMC) and CNC lathes (2-4 axis).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification is a plus.
