Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team in Walnut, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines using Mastercam software on Haas and Fanuc-controlled 5-axis equipment. You will work directly with engineering and production teams to ensure precision, quality, and on-time delivery of machined components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam CAM software for 3- and 5-axis milling operations
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Haas and Fanuc-controlled CNC milling machines
  • Program and manage 5-axis machining operations to meet tight tolerances and complex geometry requirements
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to develop accurate tool paths
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding to maximize efficiency and part quality
  • Verify first-article parts and make program adjustments as needed
  • Collaborate with quality control to ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish specifications
  • Document and maintain programs, setup sheets, and revision records
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce cycle times
  • Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC programming and machining experience
  • Proficiency in Mastercam software for mill programming (required)
  • Demonstrated experience operating Haas CNC milling machines
  • Experience with Fanuc CNC control systems
  • Proven 5-axis machining experience, including simultaneous 5-axis operations
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, tooling, and machining best practices
  • Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or vocational training preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with Mastercam multiaxis and dynamic motion toolpaths
  • Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO quality management systems
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA
