Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Grand Blanc, MI on a full-time basis.

The Role

We are seeking a CNC Programmer/ Machinist to transform 3D models or blueprints into finished parts.

What You’ll Do

Program and set up tooling, perform basic inspections, and finish parts.
Plan machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and material specifications.
Program mills using manual G-Code Programming and CAM systems.
Ensure part specifications by adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance as specified by the manufacturer’s instructions.
Contribute to organizational goals by accepting ownership and exploring opportunities to add value to the team.

Additional Job Description

What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications)

Minimum of 1 year machining experience on a 4-axis CNC mill.
Extensive CAM software experience, preferably with Mastercam.
Proficient in 3D surfacing techniques.
Responsible for selecting tooling speeds and feeds.
Experience with manual mills and lathes.
Skilled in 4-axis CNC programming and operation.
Knowledgeable in GD&T standards.
Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines and cultures.
Strong organizational skills to communicate technical data to colleagues and leadership.
Flexible availability to work day and afternoon shifts as required, including overtime.
High level of analytical thinking.

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

Proficient in operating and programming 4-axis CNC machines.
Experience with both horizontal and vertical CNC machines.
Familiarity with UG and TeamCenter.
CNC lathe programming and operation experience
Experience with controllers such as Fanuc, Haas, Hurco, Fadal, Makino, and Siemens.
Understanding of the dynamic racing environment.
