Express Employment is assisting a local CNC manufacturing company in the Brighton area hiring a 2nd shift CNC Programmer and & 1st shift Setup Operator. The company engineers and manufactures wheels, rollers, conveyors, levelers, chain and much more for the steel industry!

Compensation: Based on experience, $20-$30/hr.

Schedules:

• 1st shift schedule 8-10 hour schedule: 5am/7am-3:30pm
• 2nd shift schedule 8-10 hour schedule: 3:15pm-11:45pm or 1:45am latest out
• *All training is scheduled on first shift 2 weeks to 2 months.

Job Responsibilities Programmer (Mill):

• Ability to program, select work holding and tooling on Large vertical Bridgemill equipment.
• Minimum 4 years experience with MasterCam, low volume job shop skills preferred.
• Read job package, job card, traveler, and blue prints for product specifications, dimensions, tolerances, batch size, and tooling instructions.
• Selects, aligns, and secures work holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on job cards.
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speeds and feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
• Measure work piece for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and gauges.

Job Responsibilities CNC Operation & Setup (Mill & Turning):

• 2-4 years CNC machining experience with low volume job shop skills preferred.
• Machinists must be able to perform conversational programming, experience with Mazatrol highly considered, setup, prove out and run without any assistance.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications for manufacturing requirements.
• Responsible in specifying proper tooling, speeds, feeds, depth of cut, for optimum material removal on tight tolerance components.
• Able to detect problems, determine solutions and improve existing practices.
• Basic machine maintenance.

Requirements:

• Possession of a high school diploma or successful completion of the General Educational Development Test is desired.
• One to five years' relevant experience is required.
• Prior experience in a Job shop manufacturing facility is desired.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blue prints, basic reading and writing skills are required.
• Must have a good understand of basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be able to identify and have a working knowledge of various materials such as steel, brass, etc.
• Must be comfortable working with various shop equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gages, dial indicators, hand tools, collets, etc.
• Must be able to work well with co-workers and supervisors.
