We currently have an opportunity for 1st Shift CNC Programmer. Direct position seeking a highly motivated individual who can support a CNC machine shop team for new product and repeat production product. MasterCam 2026 and working with solids experience is a must. Candidate must be able to perform set-up, operate, make minor adjustments, work to close tolerances and have experience in machining a variety of metals such as inconel, and titanium.

Responsibilities:

  • 5 years minimum experience in aerospace manufacturing.

  • Competent in core manufacturing processes: turning and milling.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage change.

  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere and willing to fill in other areas if & when needed.

  • Basic understanding of special processes: heat treating, plating, non-destructive testing.

  • Able to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Proficiency in CAD and solid modeling with Solidworks helpful.

  • Supportive, talented, close-knit group of experienced machinists

  • Clean, well-lit, state of the art machine shop

  • Variety of projects and parts machined, not a monotonous production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the generation of CNC code for 3, 4 and 5 axis vertical and horizontal lathe/milling machines using latest Mastercam software.

  • Analyze drawings, sketches and design data of parts to determine optimum tooling and process for the entire scope of the manufacturing of a given part.

  • Design fixtures required for holding and processing parts when required.

  • Write instruction sheets; provide detailed process drawings and tooling lists to guide set-up and operation of machines.

  • Oversee the technical direction of large projects moving through the shop.
