CNC Programmer II
to support our production team by programming and optimizing CNC machines used to fabricate high‑quality metal and non‑metal components. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving machining challenges, working with advanced CAD/CAM software, and contributing to a collaborative, quality‑driven team.
What You’ll Do
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam or GibbsCAM to create accurate toolpaths for milling, turning, and other machining operations.
- Optimize programs for efficiency, accuracy, and high‑quality finish—including tool selection, speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies.
- Run test simulations, verify toolpaths, and troubleshoot issues before production.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve machining processes and resolve technical challenges.
- Debug CNC programs, machine tooling, and equipment to enhance performance and reduce downtime.
- Create and maintain documentation such as CNC programs, setup sheets, tool lists, and process instructions.
- Provide guidance or training to junior programmers and machinists as needed.
- Stay current on CNC machining technologies, software updates, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in G‑code, M‑code, and CAD/CAM systems (Mastercam, GibbsCAM, etc.).
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, materials, and multi‑axis operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to improve program efficiency and machining quality.
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with complex geometries and multi‑axis machining is a plus.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- One‑year technical certificate, two‑ to four‑year apprenticeship, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Combination of education and hands‑on CNC programming experience considered.
