Job Description

Raycap, Inc., an industry leader in manufacturing solutions for telecommunications, renewable energy, transportation, defense, and other applications, is currently looking for a CNC Programmer in our Kearny, NJ facility. This is a fast-paced position in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.  

Responsibilities for CNC Programmer – Amada Punch & Laser:

• Understand technical drawings and set up the machines according to the blueprints
• Use computer software to program Punch and Laser to produce sheet metal parts
  • AP100US/VPSS BLANK 4ie or any Amada software experience is a PLUS
• Create flat patterns of sheet metal using bend deduction rules in accordance with AMADA tooling
• Provide proper information on nestings for the operators to run multiple jobs for efficiency
• Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications when required
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
• Consider the tools required to cut particular materials and program machines accordingly
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines & turret tooling as they arise
• Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning and sharpening
• Train new employees on how to operate CNC machines and programs properly
• Support engineering changes with revision control systems that involve current and future production

Qualifications for CNC Programmer:

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting is required
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise
• The ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential
• Should have a positive and professional attitude
