- Read blueprints to obtain product specifications and tooling instructions (dimensions/tolerances, fixtures, feed rates, cutting speed, tools required, etc.)
- Write programs for and occasionally operate multi-axis CNC machinery (i.e., 3-4 axis lathe, 5-axis mill) utilizing Mastercam and Solidworks software.
- Troubleshoot and assist CNC machinists with fixturing, set up, and programming issues for high precision, R&D Aerospace Manufacturing parts (+/-.0005 tolerances, high temp alloys such as Inconel, Titanium, etc.)
- Assist manufacturing estimator with any questions regarding estimates/quotes for new work.
- Purchase and prepare tooling and requirement equipment for each job released to manufacturing.
- Evaluate lessons learned and budgets with project managers for continual improvement.
