CNC Programmer

Job Location: Brea, CA

Job Summary:

The Machine Shop CNC programmer, more commonly known as a Machine Shop Programmer, is responsible and specialized in G-code programming using MasterCam for CNC (computer numerically controlled) machines. S/he reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, and control settings. Optimize machining processes, reduce cycle times, and maintain tight tolerances using various machining methods or tooling. S/he is able to test programs by setting up Milling/Turning machines with the appropriate programs and tooling in place. Design and fabricate complex fixtures to attain machining quality requirements using extensive knowledge of GD&T.

Requirements for Success: 

  • High School Diploma
  • 8+ Years Related CNC programming experience and CNC Mill/Lathe set up and operation. Prior programming experience with aviation parts preferred. 
  • Proficient with Shoptech E2 or similar manufacturing ERP
  • Proficient with CNC 3,4 & 5 Axis Milling Centers (preferably HAAS).
  • Experience with a variety of shop tools, equipment, and machinery. 
  • Must be able to read and understand technical data, quality procedures, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and policies.
