Job Overview:

Job Title: CNC Press Operator

 

Position Summary

Set up and operate NC and CNC equipment in fabrication department. Produce parts and components to print and specifications.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Productively set up and operate the NC LVD press, NC fabrication, Wiedermann, 647 and 3700 Whitney (NC and CNC equipment)

· Perform in-process and final inspection of product using various measuring instruments

· Edit programs as needed

· Sharpen punches/dies for above equipment as required throughout the process

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· Successful completion of appropriate technical education, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

· Ability to communicate, read and write in English

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

· Intermediate Shop Math

 

REASONING ABILITY

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints including geometric dimensioning

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

· Ability to do basic data entry

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 AM 5–PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
