CNC Press Brake Setup Operator III

Department: Operations

Reports To: Production Supervisor

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a CNC Press Brake Setup Operator III, you’ll be a key technical contributor on the shop floor - owning complex press brake setups, ensuring quality from first piece to final run, and supporting production through expertise, leadership, and consistency. This role goes beyond operating; it’s about precision, problem-solving, and setting standards for press brake operations.¨NBSP;

We are looking for a true expert to fill this role.

A Day in the Life:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC press brake machines for complex parts
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, job orders, and work instructions to ensure accurate production
  • Select tooling, calculate bend allowances, and optimize setups for quality and efficiency
  • Verify part accuracy using precision measuring tools
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Stage materials and maintain accurate job documentation
  • Collaborate with production teams to meet schedules and delivery goals
  • Train and mentor Level I and Level II operators
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Advanced CNC press brake setup and operation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • 5+ years of metal fabrication or related manufacturing experience preferred; the more experience the better
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity for precision work
