CNC Operator II - Panels (3rd Shift)
As a CNC Operator II you will load programs and perform operations such as sawing, drilling, and routing on the CNC machining center. Select and install proper fixtures when required for a particular part and perform minor modifications to program when required.
Currently there are openings for full-time CNC Operator II in our Panels division on 3rd shift.
1st shift would be Monday-Friday 6:30AM to 2:30PM.
CNC Operator II: Starting at $23.69+ per hour on 3rd shift based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understands and performs duties of CNC Mill Operator I.
- Exhibits strong technical aptitude and understanding of the CNC machining operations.
- Gather Material according to work order.
- Properly complete setup tasks which include setting/identifying drills/endmills/cutters and other applicable tooling, panel/part layout, fixture layout (if applicable), vacuum table utilization/proper vacuum level, pre-running program cycle prior to running production parts and validating it is acceptable to run production.
- Basic understanding of G and M codes.
- Working knowledge of OSAI controls and/or Fanuc, Mazak, Hass controls.
- Can successfully load and edit CNC program if necessary.
- Select proper fixture for the part/work order.
- Determine if the CNC table working surface is adequate or needs to be prepped.
- Carry out tasks such as sawing, routing, and drilling on the mill safely.
- Select proper fixture for the part/work order.
- Perform required quality checks before, during, and after machining utilizing blueprints, calipers, heigh, gage, etc.
- Print and post work schedules for the work center.
- Interpret and follow work schedules for the work center.
- Maintain CNC equipment and tooling.
- Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
- Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods via communication of issues and opportunities to supervisors, engineers, and programmers.
- Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
- Assist other departments as necessary.
- Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 3 years of CNC experience required.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card').
