1st & 2nd Shift CNC Operators

Location: Mentor, Ohio

Job Summary

Our client in Mentor, Ohio is seeking experienced CNC Operators for the 1st & 2nd shift. The ideal candidates will have experience operating CNC machinery in a precision manufacturing environment and be comfortable working independently while maintaining quality and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently during the 2nd shift.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
• Monitor machine cycles and production processes.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and tool changes as needed.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and production specifications.
• Identify quality issues and make appropriate adjustments or notify the setup technician.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Keep machines and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machine operating experience preferred.
• Experience with CNC lathes, mills, or Swiss-type machines is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work 2nd shift.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
