Job Overview:

As a CNC Operator at MacLean-Fogg’s Saegertown facility, you will play a key role in producing high-precision components used in the aerospace, military, automotive, and industrial markets. You will operate CNC machinery to meet strict quality standards, contribute to a clean and safe work environment, and help drive our commitment to operational excellence.

Job Details

  • Position Type: Hourly, Full-Time (Non-Exempt)

  • Shifts:- Shift 1: 7:00am – 3:00pm

    • Shift 3: 11:00pm – 7:00am
  • **Pay Range: **$17.00 - $24.00/hour (depending on skills and experience)

  • Shift Differential: +$0.75 for 3rd shift

  • Sign-On Bonus: $1,000

  • **Work Location: **Onsite - Saegertown, Pennsylvania, 16433

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC lathes, mills, and/or multi-axis machining centers to manufacture precision components.
  • Load raw materials and monitor machine operation to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Inspect finished components using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Interpret blueprints and job travelers accurately.
  • Perform routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and machine adjustments as needed.
  • Document production information accurately and completely.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace following 5S standards.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures and protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Competencies

  • Ability to follow detailed verbal and written work instructions.
  • Comfort with reading technical drawings and using basic measuring instruments.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and a commitment to craftsmanship.
  • Basic computer literacy and math skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Previous machine operation experience strongly preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
  • Demonstrated work history with steady employment and minimal gaps.
  • Proven reliability and punctuality to support production schedules.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Required to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending and stooping required.
  • Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.
  • Must be able to work in noisy environments.
