CNC Machine Operator (Level I) – Multi-Axis | Day Shift

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
CNC Machine Operator
with strong multi-axis machining experience. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers to produce precision parts that meet quality and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and setup sheets
- Locate and verify X, Y, Z axes accurately
- Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators)
- Perform in-process inspections and quality checks
- Adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, and tooling as needed
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make basic program edits
- Replace tooling and monitor coolant systems
- Perform daily machine checks and report maintenance needs
- Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements
- Assist in training junior operators as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum
3+ years CNC machining experience
on complex multi-axis machines
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, height gauges & indicators
- Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, conversions)
- Stable work history
- Vocational or machining certification preferred
- Crane or forklift experience a plus
Physical Requirements
- Stand for extended periods
- Lift, push, or pull up to 100 lbs (with assistance/equipment)
- Work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and machinery
- Ability to distinguish colors and read precision gauges

This is a
