Position Summary

The Experienced Diamond Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting diamond tooling equipment while ensuring product quality, safety, and efficient production flow. This role serves as a key resource for complex machine setups and supports team members with technical guidance.

Hours: 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (Training will take place on first shift)

Essential Functions

  • Comply with all safety standards and corporate guidelines, including business ethics policies

  • Perform incoming inspection of tools to ensure they meet print specifications

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot machinery to maintain optimal performance

  • Conduct preventative maintenance (PM), including cleaning, greasing, and replacing wires and wheels as required

  • Ensure proper flow of materials throughout the production area

  • Maintain accurate and complete production and inspection documentation

  • Perform final tool inspections and assembly to ensure quality standards are met

  • Identify and communicate material shortages to appropriate team members

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards

  • Serve as a go-to resource for resolving complex operational or technical issues

  • Participate in production meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

  • Perform brazing of tools as required

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of equipment, tooling, and manufacturing operations

  • Ability to learn and execute complex machine setups

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers)

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and support team performance

  • Solid understanding of company policies and procedures
