Job Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Machinist / CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC lathes and mills, reading work orders and drawings, maintaining quality standards, and working in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC lathes and mills to manufacture parts according to specifications and drawings.

  • Verify materials assigned to work orders, including starting OD, cut lengths, and quantities.

  • Set up computerized CNC machines in accordance with work order requirements.

  • Perform routine inspections during machining processes to ensure quality and accuracy.

  • Complete production orders in a timely manner while meeting productivity goals.

  • Report quality or production issues to the CNC Quality Assurance Inspector and Supervisor.

  • Perform physical counts of work-in-process materials and verify quantities against work orders.

  • Operate multiple CNC machines as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Receive and prioritize daily work orders from the supervisor.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on CNC lathes, mills, and associated equipment.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Provide recommendations to improve production efficiency and quality.

  • Assist with training team members as needed.

  • Follow all company procedures, instructions, and quality standards.

  • Attend departmental and production meetings as required.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Wear all required PPE, including gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes.

  • Follow proper lifting techniques and safe material handling procedures.

  • Maintain clear aisles and safe workspaces free of hazards.

  • Use caution around conveyors and moving machinery.

  • Identify and report safety hazards immediately.

  • Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating CNC lathes and mills preferred.

  • Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to operate multiple machines in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of machining tools, measuring instruments, and preventative maintenance practices preferred.
