We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Machinist / CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC lathes and mills, reading work orders and drawings, maintaining quality standards, and working in a fast-paced production environment.
Operate CNC lathes and mills to manufacture parts according to specifications and drawings.
Verify materials assigned to work orders, including starting OD, cut lengths, and quantities.
Set up computerized CNC machines in accordance with work order requirements.
Perform routine inspections during machining processes to ensure quality and accuracy.
Complete production orders in a timely manner while meeting productivity goals.
Report quality or production issues to the CNC Quality Assurance Inspector and Supervisor.
Perform physical counts of work-in-process materials and verify quantities against work orders.
Operate multiple CNC machines as assigned by the supervisor.
Receive and prioritize daily work orders from the supervisor.
Perform preventative maintenance on CNC lathes, mills, and associated equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Provide recommendations to improve production efficiency and quality.
Assist with training team members as needed.
Follow all company procedures, instructions, and quality standards.
Attend departmental and production meetings as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Wear all required PPE, including gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes.
Follow proper lifting techniques and safe material handling procedures.
Maintain clear aisles and safe workspaces free of hazards.
Use caution around conveyors and moving machinery.
Identify and report safety hazards immediately.
Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
Experience operating CNC lathes and mills preferred.
Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to operate multiple machines in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of machining tools, measuring instruments, and preventative maintenance practices preferred.
