Nexus Employment is currently hiring a CNC Operator for a Manufacturing facility located in Hobart, IN.

Pay Range:

$16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Summary:

Familiar with operating a computer numerical control (CNC) laser cutting machine in a safe, productive manner, ensuring all quality standards are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities:

• Operates single or multiple CNC laser cutting machine, including loading raw material and ensuring quality by maintaining focal point adjustment, feed rate, power, and other parameters

• Labels/Tag finished parts accurately and delivers them to designated areas

• Monitors laser/Phyton operations to ensure machine is functioning properly and safely; records machine code errors and communicates performance issues to the supervisor

• Uses inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measure

• Deburrs and cleans parts

• Maintains quality, productivity, and safety records

• Maintains supplies and performs regular preventive maintenance

• Assists other operators with operating, inspecting, and cleaning machines and parts

• Maintains cleanliness of work area

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred

• Experience operating CNC preferred

• Licensed forklift truck operator

• Experience minimum 2 years’ operating crane

• Good time management skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to read a tape measure and micrometer

• Knowledge of CNC laser-cutting operation
