**CNC Programmer / Machinist

**

Our client, a growing custom metal fabrication job shop in Hartford, WI, is looking to add an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to their team. Specializing in low‑ to mid‑volume production with short lead times, LMI is expanding its current 40,000 sq. ft. facility and planning for continued growth into 2026 and beyond.

This is a hands‑on role for a true machinist — not a button pusher. If you take pride in your setups, programs, and finished parts, this is an opportunity to work in a shop where your skills are valued.

Pay:

$26–$36/hour, based on experience

Shift Options:

• 1st Shift

• 2nd Shift

What You’ll Be Doing

• Program, set up, and operate HAAS VF4 mills and supporting equipment

• Edit and prove out programs (CAM or at the machine)

• Select tooling, set offsets, indicate vises, and dial in fixtures

• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T

• Inspect first articles and in‑process parts

• Hold tight tolerances consistently

• Troubleshoot tool wear, chatter, and machining inefficiencies

• Maintain organized workspaces and equipment

• Perform routine preventative maintenance

Qualifications

• Strong CNC machining experience required (not entry‑level)

• Proven ability to program, set up, and run jobs independently

• Experience with HAAS machines preferred

• Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T, and tolerancing

• Ability to solve problems and improve machining processes

• High attention to detail and pride in quality work
