Overview

Allied Reliability is searching for CNC Operators to work 2nd and 3rd Shifts in the Edgewood area. 

 

The CNC Operator will operate CNC milling equipment and other related equipment necessary to machine honeycomb materials to specified dimensions and tolerances. Responsible for setting up and operating numerical control machines to perform various machine functions such as cutting and milling of metallic and nonmetallic core to ensure that only highest quality product is delivered.

Responsibilities

The CNC Utility Operator assists in the preparation and set up of CNC equipment, moving parts, getting parts and other assistance required in the CNC manufacturing department.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Performs routine operator level preventative maintenance, organize, clean, and maintain equipment, product, and supplies to ensure highest possible standards of cleanliness in accordance with established company procedures and Form B on a daily basis.
  • Setup parts on fixtures.
  • Obtain parts for department as assigned.
  • Assist other departments that need help (including but not limited to shipping, or help other operators with oversized honeycomb materials).
  • Remove finished parts from CNC machines.
  • Provide coverage running the CNC machines for CNC operators.
  • Performs product packaging, tagging and labeling duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate the ability to trouble shoot and problem solve scrap and quality issues with assistance from engineering, supervision and upper level managers.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED; one year certificate from college or technical school required.
    • One to three years of similar work in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience performing three and five axis NC machining of metallic or composite products where hand forming, carving, or hand tool machining of light gauge or delicate materials are required.

    Exposure to close tolerance work, typically on the order of a few thousandths of an inch and use of calipers or micrometers.
