Job Description

Overview

We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists with 4+ recent years experience operating 4-axis vertical Mills and 2-axis lathes for a 3 month contract onsite in NEW YORK

Project Specs:

• Pay Rate $40/hr
• 50hrs/week GUARANTEED (OT after 40)
• $45 per diem (tax-free), 7 days a week
• Private hotel accommodations (we handle the booking)
• Must have ITAR Documentation (Passport or Birth Certificate)
• Must pass a background check and drug test

Responsibilities

Setup and operate:

• Okuma and Hardinge CNC lathes. Okuma has Okuma/OSP controllers and the Hardinge lathes have Fanuc controls. These are all 2-axis machines. There are no bar feeders.
• Okuma vertical mills with Okuma/OSP controllers. These run on 4-axes while 3-axis vertical mill experience is accepted.
• Setting up and operating machinery, completing quality checks and some deburring
• Will be setting up WITHOUT setup sheets. All setup is done to print.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
• Ability to setup and operare 2 machines at the same time.
• Must pass a vision test upon arrival.
• No material handling equipment operation

You should be proficient in:

• GD&T
• CNC Tooling
• G-Code
• M-Code
• Troubleshooting CNC Machines

Machines & technologies you'll use:

• CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Okuma)
• CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Okuma)
• Calipers and Micrometers
