We’re seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support precision machining and tooling operations within a manufacturing environment. This position will focus on CNC milling programming, process optimization, troubleshooting, and supporting quality and production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC milling programs using Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar CAM software
- Program CNC Vertical Machining Centers for tooling components and precision-machined parts
- Interpret blueprints, CAD models, technical drawings, and GD&T requirements
- Create setup documentation including tooling, machine setups, tool paths, pickup points, and machining requirements
- Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to reduce downtime and maintain production flow
- Improve machining processes to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance part quality
- Support optical inspection programming and automated quality verification
- Monitor cutting tool performance and assist with tooling inventory and purchasing
- Maintain accurate CNC programs and make updates based on engineering or process changes
- Partner with engineering, quality, production, and machine operators to resolve manufacturing challenges
- Follow established safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC milling programming experience, preferably within metal stamping, tooling, or die manufacturing
- Proficiency with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or comparable CAM software
- Strong knowledge of G-code, CNC machining, tooling, feeds, and speeds
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting toolroom or die manufacturing operations preferred
- Optical inspection system experience is a plus
