Job Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support precision machining and tooling operations within a manufacturing environment. This position will focus on CNC milling programming, process optimization, troubleshooting, and supporting quality and production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC milling programs using Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or similar CAM software
  • Program CNC Vertical Machining Centers for tooling components and precision-machined parts
  • Interpret blueprints, CAD models, technical drawings, and GD&T requirements
  • Create setup documentation including tooling, machine setups, tool paths, pickup points, and machining requirements
  • Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to reduce downtime and maintain production flow
  • Improve machining processes to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance part quality
  • Support optical inspection programming and automated quality verification
  • Monitor cutting tool performance and assist with tooling inventory and purchasing
  • Maintain accurate CNC programs and make updates based on engineering or process changes
  • Partner with engineering, quality, production, and machine operators to resolve manufacturing challenges
  • Follow established safety and quality standards

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC milling programming experience, preferably within metal stamping, tooling, or die manufacturing
  • Proficiency with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or comparable CAM software
  • Strong knowledge of G-code, CNC machining, tooling, feeds, and speeds
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting toolroom or die manufacturing operations preferred
  • Optical inspection system experience is a plus
