Position Summary: The CNC Mill Operator specializes in machining operations using vertical and horizontal milling, including setup, tooling, material handling, and quality inspection. This position is full time, Monday – Friday | 6 am – 2:30 pm at our Hubbard, Oregon location.

Your workday will be a mix of collaboration and independent work with readily available support. You will play an integral role in the machine shop!

Wage: $25 - $40/hour DOE

The Essentials:

  • Set up CNC Mill machines for machining operations, including tooling selection and workpiece loading.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate machining.
  • Monitor machining processes, make necessary adjustments, and perform quality inspections to verify part dimensions and surface finish.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as tool changes, lubrication, and cleaning, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Proven experience as a CNC Mill Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of machining tools, materials, and techniques.
  • Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming is a plus.
