Position Overview

CCT Enterprises is seeking a dependable CNC Mill Operator to join our growing precision machining team on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for operating established CNC milling machines, monitoring part quality, performing routine tool changes, and ensuring production goals are met while maintaining CCT's high standards for quality and safety.

What You'll Do

Machine Operation

  • Operate established CNC milling machines according to setup documentation and work instructions.
  • Load and unload parts while maintaining safe operating procedures.
  • Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent production and part quality.
  • Perform routine tool changes and tool touch-offs as directed.
  • Notify supervision of tooling, machine, or production issues that could impact quality or efficiency.
  • Support production schedules by maintaining expected production rates.

Quality & Inspection

  • Read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions.
  • Perform in-process inspections using:
  • Verify parts meet customer specifications before continuing production.
  • Identify, segregate, and report scrap or suspect material.
  • Complete all required production and inspection documentation accurately.

Documentation & Systems

  • Maintain accurate JobBOSS production entries.
  • Complete job travelers and required quality documentation.
  • Follow all work instructions, setup sheets, and Job Instruction Manuals (JIM Books).

Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with Set-Up Technicians, Quality, and Production Supervisors.
  • Participate in company training and continuously develop machining knowledge.
  • Assist with production needs throughout the department.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.

Safety & Housekeeping

  • Follow all company safety policies and safe machining practices.
  • Understand emergency stop procedures and machine safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, injuries, or equipment concerns.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one year of CNC machining experience.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints.
  • Experience using calipers and micrometers.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read and understand English.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous CNC mill experience.
  • Experience in a production manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with JobBOSS or similar manufacturing software.
  • Desire to advance into CNC Set-Up positions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Additional Requirements

Due to CCT Enterprises' federal firearms license (FFL) and company hiring standards, applicants must not have any felony convictions or pending felony charges.
