Seeking a skilled **CNC 5-Axis Mill Machinist **to accurately and efficiently set up and operate 5-axis CNC mills for the manufacturing of parts and tooling. This role requires minimal supervision and a solid understanding of machining practices, materials, and quality standards.

Set up and operate 5-axis CNC mills to produce high-quality components and tooling
Interpret engineering planning documents and blueprints to execute tasks accurately
Perform in-process and final inspections on machined parts
Execute Manual Data Inputs (MDIs) when necessary
Collaborate with Engineering, Programming, and Quality teams
Maintain effective communication with other shifts via logbooks and shift hand-offs
Assist with troubleshooting quality issues, identifying root causes, and suggesting corrections
Escalate concerns to Supervisors and avoid unauthorized program modifications
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (participate in 6S initiatives)
Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by management
Minimum **2 years of experience **operating full 5-axis CNC mills
Proficiency with Fanuc 15MB and 30 i controls(Siemens 840D or Heidenhain is a plus)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maintain tolerances, and conduct own setups
Experience machining various materials such as Invar, Aluminum, Composites, and Graphite
Solid understanding of machining techniques, feed rates, chip load, and spindle speeds
Competency using manual inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, bore gauges)
Ability to MDI hole patterns and radii
Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and shop math including trigonometry
Must be a **U.S. Person **as defined by applicable export control regulations
CNC Machinist Certification
Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes (certification preferred)
Familiarity with advanced cutting tool technology
Occasional local travel during business hours
Some projects may require overnight travel
Combination of shop floor and computer workstation environments
Exposure to moving machinery, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and occasional caustic chemicals
Moderate noise level; safety eyewear required in manufacturing areas
Safety shoes recommended
May be required to work weekends depending on production needs
Must have close/distance/color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and reach
Frequent walking and standing for short periods
Lift/move up to 35 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally
