Job Overview:

CNC Mill Machinist

Full-Time | 2nd Shift – 3:00PM–11:00PM, Monday–Friday (Overtime as needed)

Location – Mishawaka, Indiana

Aegis Worldwide is seeking multiple CNC Mill Machinists to join a precision manufacturing team. This role will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC milling machines to produce hydraulic valve manifolds and other high-precision components. The CNC Mill Machinist will ensure parts meet tight tolerances, maintain machine performance, and contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements

  • Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job

  • Set up CNC mill machines, load materials, and secure workpieces properly

  • Make offsets and edits using G-code or conversational code languages

  • Monitor machine operations, ensuring accuracy and preventing scrap

  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to meet quality standards

  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining problems to minimize downtime

  • Perform daily maintenance and 5S housekeeping on CNC work centers

  • Collaborate with machinists, programmers, and supervisors to optimize machining processes

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred

  • 2–7+ years of CNC mill or lathe experience making offsets and adjustments

  • Proficiency with G&M code; experience with Mazatrol a plus

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

  • Familiarity with Mazak, Makino, or Tsugami CNC machines is a plus

  • Strong understanding of machining tolerances, speeds, and feeds

  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

  • Positive, proactive attitude with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
