Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist for a climate-controlled machine shop in the North Houston area. This position will primarily work on Haas CNC mills producing valves, fittings, and other machined parts. Candidates must have hands-on experience setting up and operating Haas CNC mills and be comfortable working in a job shop environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up and operate Haas CNC milling machines (HAAS VF-2, VF-4, VF-6, EC-1600, etc.)
• Read and interpret blueprints and machining drawings
• Machine oil & gas components including valves, fittings, and related parts
• Perform tooling changes and make program edits as needed during production
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
• Maintain quality standards and production requirements
• Follow all shop safety procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 4 years of CNC Mill machining experience
• Experience setting up and operating Haas CNC mills is required
• Experience with HAAS controls
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
• Must have basic machinist hand tools (socket set, basic measuring tools, etc.)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS:

• CNC programming experience is not required for the right machinist
• Candidates who can program HAAS CNC mills from scratch may qualify for higher pay
• Experience with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or other CAM software is a plus
