A CNC Manufacturing Technician II is responsible for setting up and manufacturing standard parts to established standards with minimal supervision. This involves the operation of CNC machinery, including the development and entry of basic programs.
· With minimal supervision, set up and manufacture standard parts on CNC machinery in a timely manner and within required specifications and tolerances.
· Independently develop and enter basic CNC programs.
· Monitor and check tool paths, cutting speeds, chip loads, tool wear, etc.
· Monitor and inspect part geometry to ensure that dimensions and tolerances are within spec
· Load, unload, and deburr parts as required to maintain optimum quality and production.
· Maintain production schedules.
· Identify potential problems with machinery, tooling, work holding, etc.
· Maintain the physical appearance of the work area, equipment, tools, and personal apparel as necessary to present a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
· High school diploma, GED, or Apprenticeship background required.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience at progressing levels of responsibility
· Ability to program CNC machine(s) with minimal experience required.
· Ability to read prints and understand geometric dimensioning
· Ability to use precision measuring instruments, including indicators, micrometers, optical comparators, thread gages, gage pins, etc.
· Must have good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to detect and troubleshoot machining problems
· Ability to stay focused and composed under pressure while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
· Mechanically inclined
· The ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Safety conscious, ethical, and eager to learn and grow
