Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on Citizen Cincom and Citizen Miyano machines
• Perform corrective repairs on spindles, guide bushings, tooling systems, live tooling units, bar feeders, and control components
• Troubleshoot CNC control systems, including Mitsubishi, Fanuc, and Citizen-specific interfaces
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance including lubrication, calibration, alignment checks, way cleaning, coolant system inspections, and component replacements
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and diagnostic documentation
• Assist operators and programmers in improving cycle time, accuracy, machine performance, and stability
• Recommend machine upgrades, replacement parts, and process improvements
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure equipment performance meets production goals
• Train production staff on proper machine operation and basic troubleshooting
• Identify and order repair parts, tooling, consumables, and replacement components
• Maintain an organized spare-parts inventory specific to Citizen machinery

Qualifications Required

• 2+ years of experience repairing or maintaining CNC machinery (Citizen experience preferred)
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
• Experience with Swiss-style lathes, particularly Citizen Cincom machines
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
• Proficiency with measurement tools (micrometers, gauges, dial indicators)
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
