Job Title: Mazak CNC Maintenance Technician

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mazak CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of Mazak CNC machines in our manufacturing facility. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, along with experience working with Mazak CNC machines.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on Mazak CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with Mazak CNC equipment.
3. Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems on Mazak CNC machines.
4. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and follow maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime.
5. Calibrate and align machine components to maintain precision and accuracy.
6. Collaborate with production teams to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
7. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts inventory.
8. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
9. Stay updated on the latest Mazak CNC technology and maintenance techniques through training and self-study.
10. Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new Mazak CNC machines as needed.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably with a focus on Mazak CNC machines.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
5. Familiarity with CNC controls, servo systems, and spindle drives.
6. Ability to use precision measurement tools and diagnostic equipment.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
9. Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls outside of regular business hours.
10. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA regulations.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and kneeling.
2. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, vibrations, and various temperature conditions.
3. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as necessary.
