CNC Maintenance Mechanic- Machined Core (1st Shift)

Currently there is an opening for a CNC Maintenance Mechanic I in our Machined Core division on 1st shift (6:30AM to 2:30PM Monday-Friday). This position will ensure that all plant equipment and machinery is maintained in working order with a focus around CNC work centers.  Coordinate machine issues and repairs between internal team and machine vendors.  Build and rebuild equipment to meet manufacturing needs.  Perform general building and site maintenance. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Help to maintain CNC machines and other equipment in the Business Unit. 
• Keep all equipment in safe operating condition. 
• Perform preventive maintenance. 
• Support equipment breakdowns and routine mechanical adjustments. 
• Help to install new equipment as required. 
• Fabricate fixtures, guards, or parts to maintain or improve the equipment. 
• Perform regular in-house machine calibrations. 
• Make out purchase requisitions for service calls, repair parts, and replacement stock items. 
• Help to keep stock items in inventory. 
• Maintain all records of repairs made to equipment. 
• Schedule repair work on equipment based on production needs. 
• Work more or less independently with a more skilled mechanic and with outside machine vendor mechanics. 
• Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery
• Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods
• Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times
• Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance
• Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months to a 1 year of progressively more responsible maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude 
• Ability to work overtime

Additional Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
