Star Swiss CNC lathes
(sliding headstock) to manufacture precision components
- Read and interpret
engineering blueprints, GD&T, and job travelers
- Use
precision measuring equipment
including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges
- Perform
in-process and final inspections
to ensure parts meet specifications
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure repeatable, high-quality production
- Make basic offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality
- Identify and communicate machining or quality issues proactively
- Follow all
safety procedures
and contribute to a strong safety-first culture
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams
Required Skills & Qualifications- Strong blueprint reading skills are required
- Hands-on experience with measuring equipment
(calipers, micrometers,
gauges) —
must be solid
- Proven
attention to detail
with a quality-first mindset
- Ability to consistently produce
nothing but quality parts
- Previous Swiss lathe experience preferred
- Familiarity with tight tolerances and precision machining environments
Physical Requirements- Ability to
stand for extended periods
during the shift
- Ability to
lift up
to 35–50
lbs
as required
- Ability to
bend, reach, stoop, and crouch
as needed
- Visual acuity required for
close tolerance inspection and blueprint reading
- Ability to work in a
manufacturing environment
with noise, coolants, and moving machinery
