**CNC Machinist – Set-Up

**

**At B&G Manufacturing, we take pride in producing precision metal components that keep industries moving forward. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Set-Up) to join our Production team in Hatfield, PA. This position plays a key role in ensuring our CNC equipment operates safely, efficiently, and accurately to meet customer and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities

**

• Set up CNC machines by entering and adjusting program instructions, setting tools, offsets, and reference points.

• Perform precision machining operations including cutting, drilling, milling, boring, and broaching per work orders and blueprints.

• Verify first-run parts and in-process work using measurement tools to ensure 100% compliance with specifications.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures and regulations.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about production status, issues, and improvements.

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and support company goals by identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and quality.

**Minimum Qualifications

**

• 3+ years of CNC machine set-up and operation experience.

• Solid understanding of machining principles, blueprint reading, and quality control procedures.

• Strong math, geometry, and trigonometry skills for precise measurements and setups.

• Ability to make offsets and perform problem-solving using sound judgment.

• Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.

**Preferred Qualifications

**

• Formal training in CNC machining or related technical field.

• Experience with G-Code, Mastercam, and/or ESPRIT software.

• Familiarity with multiple CNC machine types.

**Physical Requirements

**

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment using required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Must be able to move, install/remove, adjust, and handle materials weighing up to 70 lbs.

• Frequent standing, bending, and reaching required during shift.
