CNC Machinist / Programmer – 2nd Shift

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer for a metal fabrication environment. This position requires hands-on experience with CNC lathes and mills, including machine setup, operation, and programming.

Location: Olathe, KS

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay: $24.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–1:00 AM

Shift: 2nd Shift

Position Summary

The CNC Machinist / Programmer will set up, program, and operate CNC lathes and mills to manufacture metal parts according to blueprints and specifications. Candidates must be able to make machine adjustments, select proper tooling, and inspect finished parts for accuracy.

Essential Functions

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills
• Program and adjust CNC machines for production runs
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Select tooling and establish proper machine settings
• Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot issues
• Use precision measuring tools to verify finished parts
• Maintain required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous CNC lathe AND mill experience
• CNC programming and machine setup experience
• Strong blueprint-reading skills
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools
• Knowledge of tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining tolerances
• Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues
• Previous metal fabrication or machining experience
• Ability to work independently and maintain production standards
