CNC Machinist – Milling & Turning Positions

• 3+ years of experience required

• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings - including an understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances

• Must be able to operate a PC and use MS Word

• Proficient with various precision measurement tools

• Understanding of G Code

• Must be fluent with programming skills using computer aided software (Mastercam)

• Competent with FANUC controls

• 25-mile radius of New Bedford is preferred

• Vacation schedule open for discussion

• Overtime available

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and tolerances.

• Operate CNC machines ensuring precision in machined parts.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, to verify dimensions.

• Program CNC machines using GD&T and CAM software, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise.

• Collaborate with team members to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.
