Position Summary:

The CNC Machinist and Programmer will be responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and products. This position will work closely with the production team to ensure efficient and accurate manufacturing processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Program CNC Machines: Utilize blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) files to program CNC machines for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials with precision.
Select Materials and Tools: Choose appropriate materials and tools for each job, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all finished products meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.
Machine Maintenance: Perform regular calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs on CNC machines to keep them in optimal working condition.
Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and tests on products to verify they meet all required specifications.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment and reduce the risk of injury.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all actions and activities, including production logs and quality reports.
Training: Provide training and guidance to other operators on job-related tasks and procedures

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate or associate's degree in machining or related field preferred
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist and Programmer
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files
Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code)
Familiarity with various materials used in CNC machining
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Ability to work 7am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday with the occasional overtime and Saturdays

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
