Responsibilities

  • Program CNC machines using G-code and other programming languages to produce parts according to specifications.
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
  • Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure reliability and longevity.
  • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC machinist and programmer, with a strong understanding of CNC machinery.
  • Proficiency in G-code programming and familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision instruments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality.
