Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines using G-code and other programming languages to produce parts according to specifications.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet required tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure reliability and longevity.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist and programmer, with a strong understanding of CNC machinery.
- Proficiency in G-code programming and familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality.
