Experienced CNC Machinist – Aerospace Manufacturing

Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join a well-established and growing aerospace manufacturing company based in Peterborough, New Hampshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled machinists with strong CNC setup and operating experience who are looking for a stable, long-term career within a precision manufacturing environment.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in CNC Hard Turning, CNC Grinding, ID/OD Grinding, and precision machining.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to manufacture high-precision components.

• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and adjustments to ensure accurate production.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

• Make tooling offsets and adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.

• Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

• Identify and resolve machining issues to maintain quality and production efficiency.

• Work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure manufacturing standards are met.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a CNC Machinist, CNC Setup Machinist, or Precision Machinist.

• Strong hands-on CNC machine setup experience is essential.

• Experience with CNC turning, hard turning, or ID/OD grinding.

• Ability to independently set up and operate CNC equipment.

• Experience working with tight tolerances and precision components.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

• Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, machining processes, and quality inspection.

• Experience with Mazak, Fanuc, Siemens, or Bryant grinding equipment is highly desirable.

• Aerospace, automotive, or other precision manufacturing experience is advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay: $25.00 – $35.00, depending on experience and technical capabilities.

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | $3,000 sign-on bonus

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | 15% shift differential | $4,000 sign-on bonus

• 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM – 7:00 AM | 20% shift differential | $5,000 sign-on bonus

• Additional monthly productivity bonus.

Sign-on bonuses are paid in two instalments: 50% after six months and 50% after 12 months. Shift differentials are subject to confirmation of the applicable base rate.
