Day Shift 7:00 am to 3:30 + OT as scheduled. $35.00/hr to $45.00/hr Must be a top end experienced tech with strong problem solving skills.

Primary Responsibilities and Experience:

Scope and Role:

Programs, sets up and operates a variety of CNC Multi Axis Mill Turn Machines to turn and/ormill metallic and nonmetallic workpieces to produce, maintain, or repair parts for customerrequirements, machines, molds, and equipment, applying knowledge of machine shopprocedures, programming knowledge, variety of machine-tool setup and operating techniques, metal and plastic properties, and custom-machining methods. To set up and run various machines using the correct speeds, feeds, and tools to ensure the machine is operating at its peak performance as well as assuring that the completed work meets all customer requirements.

Education/Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of working experience is required for the job requirements in this job description.
• Vocational education or apprenticeship preferred. High School Diploma Minimum.
• Must exhibit strong understanding of NC Code and Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens machine controls.
• Preferred Equipment Experience: DMG Mori, NLX, NZX Series

Primary Tactical Responsibilities:

• Studies job folders including routers, setup sheets, setup photos, blueprints to understand the sequence of operations, and finished dimensions of the work piece.
• Set up 2 thru 11 Axis Lathe & Mill Turn Machines and documents
• Set up and run data, working through first piece approval and a quality consistent process.
• Runs jobs.
• Inspects work and confirms all dimensional and other specifications comply with requirements of the job per KMM QMS Standards.
• Analyzes work problems and provides problem-solving through troubleshooting processes and programs.
• Modifies NC Code as needed/directed to improve effectiveness of the job.
• Reports labor and machine time, and quantity good/scrap per KMM standards.
• Complies with all documentation requirements, including job folders, inspection sheets, setup Sheets, and others as defined.
• Confirms that their jobs are running within estimated times printed on routers in job folders.
• Follows KMM procedures for quality & job requirements, including, but not limited to:

o First Article/Piece Inspections (FPY-First Pass Yields = 100%)

o In Process Inspections

o Set Up Sheets

o Daily time reporting (Labor, Machine Time and Quantity and Job Pack production reporting

o Job folder step sign off’s.

Primary Strategic Responsibilities

• Plan work for lights out manufacturing and maintains machines
• Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, and suggests changes to increase the quality and efficiency of jobs.
• (May) Assist in training new workers.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.

Physical Demands: Ability to sit/stand extended periods of time at a desk. Ability to operate computer for long periods of time. Movement of material may require the ability to lift 50lbs or more at times.
