About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with a strong background in milling, turning, and Swiss machining. This individual will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality components in a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling, turning, and Swiss machines to manufacture precision components.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to ensure parts meet specifications.

  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

  • Adjust machine settings, tooling, and offsets as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.

  • Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain equipment in proper working condition, including routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.

  • Document production activities, inspection results, and nonconformances per company quality standards.

  • Collaborate with engineers, quality inspectors, and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve manufacturing challenges.

  • Follow all safety procedures and comply with quality system regulations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience in milling, turning, and/or Swiss operations.

  • Ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T, and working with tight tolerances.

  • Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.

  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device or aerospace preferred).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred.
