Job Overview:

A leading manufacturing company specializing in precision machining is seeking a skilled 1st Shift CNC Machinist to join their team. This opportunity is based on-site in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The position offers a chance to enhance your CNC expertise while contributing to diverse projects within a fast-paced job shop. The role is classified as Temp to Perm, with an expected duration of 27-52 weeks.

1st Shift CNC Machinist Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines using fully documented procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Produce and validate first-piece parts according to print specifications.
  • Edit and create CNC programs as needed, leveraging knowledge of machine programming.
  • Conduct manual inspections to verify machined parts meet inspection criteria.
  • Interpret complex blueprints and apply GD&T principles to maintain precision.

1st Shift CNC Machinist Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; CNC technical diploma preferred.
  • At least 5 years of machining experience with both lathes and mills, including vertical, horizontal, and turning centers.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and advanced math skills, including shop math, trigonometry, and geometry.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to learn, lead, and mentor peers.
