What You'll Do
As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in producing precision components that meet demanding quality standards. You'll be trusted to set up, operate, monitor, and inspect parts while maintaining efficiency and accuracy throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, and/or 5-axis machining centers.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
- Perform machine setups, offsets, and tooling adjustments independently.
- Load raw materials and workpieces into machines.
- Conduct first-piece inspections and test runs to verify conformance to specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize quality and productivity.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Utilize CMMs, comparators, micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and daily equipment checks.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to independently perform machine setups and offsets.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
- Experience using precision measurement and inspection equipment, including:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC programming concepts.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certificate, trade school training, or degree in machining, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Experience in precision aerospace or high-tolerance manufacturing environments.
Work Schedule
Day Shift
Monday – Thursday
6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Swing Shift
Monday – Thursday
3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
Enjoy a consistent schedule and a three-day weekend every week.
Manufacturing environment, lifting up to 40 lbs regularly and occasional overtime required to support production demands
