Position Overview

Horton is seeking a CNC Machinist with lathe experience to join our Production team in Britton, SD. This role is responsible for operating and performing basic setup on CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components that meet specification and tolerance requirements.

Must-Have Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating lathes

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Basic computer proficiency

• Basic math skills

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes OR

  • Completion of a 2-year technical degree in machining (preferred)

• Intermediate inspection and measurement skills

• Basic machine setup and operation knowledge

• Ability to work efficiently and collaborate with others

• Comfortable entering production data into business systems

What You’ll Do

• Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts

• Perform basic machine setup and adjustments

• Load materials and tooling following job specifications

• Inspect parts to ensure conformance to blueprint tolerances

• Monitor tooling wear and machine performance

• Record production and inspection data accurately

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $26.95/hour
