Machining students welcome!

Position Summary 

Our Machinists perform vertical mill machining at very close tolerances of high-performance plastics, adjust CAM programs using Virtual Gibbs, machine set up and inspections. In this role, you will work closely with other machinist and/or programmers to ensure new programs are modified. 

  • Approximately 20 hours per week (we will work with your school schedule.  In the summer you can work up to full time)
  • All newer CNC vertical milling machines - DMG, Kira, Roku Roku, and Robodrill
  • Super clean and bright shop

  Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Manufacturing Technology program
  • Ability to do close tolerance work, read and comprehend part drawings, and to inspect his/her own work using both computer-controlled and hand tool inspection equipment
  • Detail oriented
  • Must be enthusiastic, highly motivated, cooperative, responsive and flexible
  • Good communication skills and able to work well with others in a team environment

 Pay for this position is $23.50.   This salary information serves as a general guideline. Several factors are considered when making an offer for this position including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, key skills, market and business conditions.  Johnstech can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
