Job Overview:

EHC is currently looking for a **Machinist II **for a client on the south side of Houston, TX.

Evening/Night 4:00pm-12:30am

$25.00-$28.00 +$1.00 differential

POSITION SUMMARY

The Machinist will set-up and operate a CNC Lathe / Mill. The Machinist will implement all data entry systems and processes and will provide daily support for software programming applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Demonstrates a good working knowledge of machine tooling applications and servicing. Works closely with other machinists to provide technical assistance to tooling related issues.

· Demonstrate working knowledge of processes necessary to complete all assigned task within the production schedule.

· Demonstrates a good working knowledge of machine equipment functions and servicing. Able to perform preventive maintenance as assigned.

· Demonstrates working knowledge of the process flow of parts through the manufacturing process.

· Load and unload raw materials onto the CNC machine, selecting appropriate materials based on project requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

· 3 – 5 years’ experience as CNC Machinist 1 or equivalent, with demonstrated proficiency in operating multi-axis CNC machines

· CNC – Has a good understanding of machine control interfaces. Provides daily support for software programming applications. Displays a solid understanding of programming, editing and offset. Troubleshoots and resolves routing software issues.

· Fully understands and implements all data entry systems and processes. Capable of reading prints and drawings

· Able to run manual and CNC equipment.

· Performs all in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers and height gauges)

· Modify existing CNC programs o improve efficiency, adjust machining parameters and troubleshoot minor programming errors.

· Ability to independently set up CNC machines.

· Understand advanced CNC programming concepts like G and M codes, as well as machining techniques like turning, milling, drilling and threading.

· Ability to read blueprints.
