CNC Machinist Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at our facility in New Kensington, PA, 15068. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating CNC machines, performing machine setups for production runs, and troubleshooting CNC machines.

We are looking to hire a 3rd shift machinist.

Sign on bonus: $500.00 after 3 months and $500.00 after 9 months

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and Operates CNC machines and other equipment

  • Conduct machine safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations

  • Takes responsibility for and determines the action needed to ensure machines continue to produce during your shift

  • Make tool off-sets, change warn inserts, and tooling

  • Perform machine setups for production runs

  • Troubleshoot CNC machines to identify and resolve issues

  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate machining

  • Ability to read micrometer and other hand measuring equipment

  • Ability to work with a wide variety of materials such as stainless steels and plastics

  • Utilize basic computer skills to input and retrieve data

  • Completes production standard and job boss sheets daily to document machines activity during your shift

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to read blue prints

  • 1 - 3 years machining work experience with CNC machines

  • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and technology used in the set-up and safe operation of various types of machines.
