Join us as a CNC Machine Operator in our Kansas City, KS Facility.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a group of computer-controlled CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers and accessories to perform a variety of machining operations simultaneously.
Location Description:
Pentair’s Kansas City business is leading manufacturer of custom and engineered to order pumps for commercial, fire, industrial and infrastructure markets for both water and wastewater applications. Pumps include, vertical turbine and vertical turbine fire, solids handling and submersible solids handling, vertical turbine solids handling, propeller, vortex and ANSI pumps

Position Hours/Shift:
2nd Shift – 3:30pm to 12:00am
More details about the opportunity:
Work from blueprints, bill of materials, process documents, written procedures, and verbal instructions.
Set up and operate machine center using tools, programs and equipment needed, selects proper operating settings as directed.
Position tools and parts in machines, securing and aligning as required, using hoists and cranes as required.
Perform a variety of machining operations on an assortment of component parts. This includes face, bore, turn, ream, thread, drill, tap, grind, chamfer, spot-face and assemble etc.
Perform necessary material handling throughout the sequence of operations

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to read bills-of-material and blueprints, as well as follow written or verbal instructions.
Must be able to operate mobile equipment as directed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
