Job Title: CNC Setup Machinist
Department: Manufacturing
Reports To: Manufacturing Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB. Set up and operate Mazak Lathe. Must be a dependable, team player. Intermediate to advanced blueprint reading with GD&T. Must have good tooling and machining background.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
1. Set up and operate any CNC lathe safely and productively.
2. Create programs on lather control using Mazatrol
3. Perform first piece and in-process inspections.
4. Load parts into machines.
5. Able to work independently.
6. Keep area neat and clean.
7. Ability to resolve issues with minimal supervision.
8. Responsible for deburring parts and keeping them ding free
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years setup machining experience. Mazatrol experience or training
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Loading and unloading of parts, moving of racks, etc. Lifting fixtures. Pack parts for shipping.
