Description

 JC Ford Company seeks a 2nd shift CNC Machinist; Mill and or Lathe  to lead our company in its mission to deliver the highest quality equipment to the tortilla and tortilla chip industry. As one of our CNC team leads, you will guide your team to by instilling your knowledge and expertise. You will make critical contributions to our company’s reputation, ensuring the excellence of our products by following inspection protocols and detecting errors before products are released. 

Requirements

  •  Communicate daily, weekly and monthly goals with your team.
  • Discuss project specifications with engineers and supervisors to guarantee consistency between plans and products, and collaborate to modify designs when existing ones are not feasible.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize CNC programs and improve machining processes.
  • Oversee daily operations of the shop to make sure goals are met.
  • Review and interpret blue prints and programs for proper material to complete jobs.
  • Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold company reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies on the shop floor.
  • Be proactive in ensuring work has all necessary tooling to avoid downtime.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mathematical skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge
  • Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines
  • Able to interpret blueprints
  • Able to read micrometers and calipers
  • Computer skills required: Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and company manufacturing and order system
  • Flexible and responsive, with a strong teamwork orientation
  • Possess ability to drive for results, hold self-accountable, and continuously improve

Preferred:

  • Familiar with HAAS VF7, HAAS VF10, HAAS VF9, Okuma, Mazak VTC, Mazak FJV
  • Familiarity with programming and interpreting CNC software
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Values precision and enforces quality standards
  • Ability to understand G and M -code
