TekPro is partnering with an established precision machining company in Elgin, IL, seeking experienced CNC Lathe and CNC Milling Machinists to join its 1st shift team.

This is a great opportunity for machinists who enjoy hands-on setup work, precision manufacturing, and working with a variety of machined components. The company offers a smaller, team-oriented manufacturing environment where experienced machinists can take ownership of their work and continue developing their technical skills.

We are looking for candidates with experience setting up and operating CNC lathes or mills. Experience with Mori Seiki, Hurco, Hyundai, or similar CNC equipment is a plus.

Available Positions

1st Shift CNC Lathe Machinist

• Pay: $28–$32/hr, depending on experience.

• Set up and operate CNC turning centers to produce precision-machined components.

• Perform tooling changes, offsets, and machine adjustments.

• Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.

1st Shift CNC Milling Machinist

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience.

• Set up and operate CNC vertical or horizontal milling machines.

• Select tooling, adjust offsets, and troubleshoot machining processes.

• Work from engineering drawings to manufacture precision components.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate CNC lathes or milling machines.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.

• Perform tooling changes, work offsets, and machine adjustments.

• Inspect machined components using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.

• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet quality specifications.

• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to improve efficiency.

• Work closely with production and quality personnel to maintain workflow.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
